Harmony and Peace Within

Living in the Light — that is, in the Presence of the Source of All — is founded upon the presence of harmony and peace in our thought and feeling life. We can achieve this harmony and peace within, and stabilize this achievement, with a balanced rhythmic living.

Living in the Light of the Presence of the Source of All is a natural, practical and very efficient way of living that can bring all the fulfillment, perfection and abundance that our heart desires.

Throughout the Ages, Great Souls have emphasized this point. They all have accentuated that living in the Light has only one requisite: to practice harmony and peace in our mental and feeling life.

In the present ways of civilization and social organization that we all have created and share today, to know the meaning of inner peace and harmony is somewhat challenging. We may have a certain intellectual grasp of what these two terms mean; however, for most of us, to actually experience a peace and harmony of heart and mind is another thing.

In the past, those individuals that sought to achieve an inner peace withdrew from society and went into the seclusion of monasteries and retreats. This withdrawal from human contact is not so appealing today as it was before, and most individuals who in their hearts and minds feel the need for inner peace and harmony are compelled to be in the midst of the turmoil of contemporary life, while at the same time, seeking that desired goal.

The following suggestions have been specifically designed with this present-day situation in mind. What is offered here are some practical ideas useful both for the one who is just starting to explore the possibility of a fuller and more harmonious life without abandoning the beauties of today’s living and for the individual with some experience in the inner search.

We invite you to carefully study these suggestions. If you feel attracted to them, we encourage you to practice them, to build upon them and to design for yourself other practices that will help you to reach the same goal that they intend:  HARMONY AND PEACE WITHIN.

We are already the creator of our own being and living conditions as they exist now. Creating inner peace and harmony is something that we can also achieve!

Ideas on Nourishing Inner Peace and Harmony:

Awake and nourish in you the DESIRE FOR HARMONY and peace in your thought and feeling life by engaging in activities that ask of you to generate Love, to actively use your Feeling power.

Begin to BELIEVE IN LIFE, in abundant life, not in death, by realizing and frequently acknowledging that the force of Life that sustains the whole Universe is always in you and in everything around you.

ERASE the presence of IMPERFECTION, lack, disharmony and ugliness from your mind and feelings by emphasizing consciously and intentionally only the perfection, the beauty, the balance and the harmony that is in you and in all beings — this is to really Love.
Remember that appearances are just appearances. Perfection, beauty, balance and harmony are always present in everyone!

Begin to concentrate your life attention and endeavors in the HERE and NOW. Avoid at all costs living in the memories of the past or in the wishes of a future. Today is the day in which you live.
Yes, dream and plan about the future. Yes, treasure the lessons of the past. But live here and now.
How you live today, the focus of your attention, your attitudes towards yourself and all others, your feelings towards yourself and all others and what you think are the way you create your future — there is no other way to do it; never has there been, never will there be any other way.

Reorganize your time to serve you, not to enslave you. Design and follow a balanced RHYTHM OF ACTIVITIES that does not oppress you but that gives you the freedom to be all what you want to be. In this balanced rhythm of activities, remember to include daily activities for the four sides of your being (the physical, the feeling, the mental and the spiritual sides).

Take 15 to 30 minutes everyday for yourself, for learning about yourself, for discovering yourself, for LOVING YOURSELF, for thinking about yourself, for consciously and intentionally creating yourself in the image and after the likeness of Perfection and Beauty.

Take 15 to 30 minutes everyday for exercising your POWER TO LOVE consciously and intentionally. Acquire the daily habit of sending the energy of Love that is in you to someone or some situation that is not close to your heart and mind.

COMMUNE WITH NATURE everyday and discover that the perfection, the beauty and the abundance of Nature are yours because your form is part of Nature.

When necessary, practice the TRIAD OF HEALING. In other words, when something in you is out of harmony and balance:

  1. Visualize yourself in a state of perfect health — do not ask to be delivered from disease because upon whatever you focus your attention, it increases.
  2. Still the turbulence that emotions arise in you and, instead, feel the joy that the energy of life produces when flowing through your being.
  3. Modify those things that are adversely affecting the wholeness, the vitality and the harmony of your form — eat healthy foods, avoid toxic drugs, breathe fresh air, sleep enough so that your form can have the opportunity to balance itself, and treat your body with kindness and love.
  4. Remember your form is your creation and you are in dominion — all the powers of the Universe and Nature support you in this task.

Establish DAILY EXERCISE periods for the free-flowing movements of your form — remember that energy is movement, motion.

AVOID forcing yourself to do all the unnecessary RUNNING AROUND engendered by materialistic societies. If you are “too busy”, simplify your life.

Create a LIVING ENVIRONMENT conducive to healing and perfection. Surround yourself with beauty, harmony and perfection — you will breathe them into your mind and heart through your eyes, through your ears and through your whole being.
Remember that there is a major difference between luxury and beauty: true beauty is only found in simplicity.

Remember that POSITIVE THINKING is constructive thinking; it is a conscious and intentional creative activity.
Positive thinking is not to repeat mentally, for example, “I am healthy”, or “I am going to win the lottery”. These are futile attempts to bend the laws of our being and the fabric of space to our desires without actually using our creative powers.
Positive thinking is to think “through” and to visualize a precise and defined thought that is full of beauty, harmony and perfection.

ELIMINATE any CRITICISM and judgmental attitude in you — the thunderbolt of judgment first passes through your being before reaching its destination, leaving in your form a path of decay, destruction and chaos.

Be aware of all the many small choices that you make everyday because with them you are continuously creating and RE-CREATING YOUR BEING and life. Remember that our incarnated existence is like a journey traveling on a road that has only a few major turning points: it is through the small steps that we advance.

Learn about and experiment with the ENERGIES of your being.
For example, discover how a particular way of thinking in you affects the vitality of your form; discover how a particular way of feeling affects the balance of your form; and discover how a particular kind of food affects your thinking and feeling.
When we do not learn about ourselves, when we accept ignorance about ourselves, we abdicate our own power, we remain in inertia and our form decays and ages.

Finally, be aware that many around you are not ready to see the goodness of Living in the Light. Do not abdicate to the crowd. SEEK THE COMPANY of those who can strengthen your commitment to pursue a way of fruition, harmony, balance, beauty and perfection.
