Community is a divine experiment in relationships designed to foster the complete expression of the Divine Soul in all beings.
This first part of the definition of Community tells us that the purpose for creating and living in Community is to experience and to reveal the nature of the Divine Soul.
What is the nature of the Divine Soul?
Since times immemorial the Wisdom Teachings have reminded us that the nature of the Divine Soul is Will-Power, Love-Wisdom and Creative Intelligence and that this trinity of characteristics is also found in the soul of every human being.
The purpose of creating and living in Community is, therefore, to experience and to reveal the Will-Power, Love-Wisdom and Creative Intelligence that characterize our Soul.
At first glance this purpose sounds somewhat abstract and vague. It is not so if we take into account that, throughout millennia of history, our humanity has been moving in this direction and that we have already discovered the three fields of activity that will make the purpose of Community a reality in our midst. These three fields of activity are: the field of Education, the field of Religion and the field of Science.
When we shall grasp and implement the true nature of Education, Religion and Science we shall experience and reveal through us the nature of the Divine Soul.
Education is the field of human activity through which the revelation of the Divine Soul as Will and Power is taking place.
The Wisdom Teachings also shed some light upon this subject: Will-Power is the divine energy that moves all human souls to come into incarnation and, by doing so, bring Heaven down to Earth.
Once we are in incarnation, the quest to satisfy the urge that we all feel to discover the true nature of our Self leads us to a divine transformation of our minds, hearts and bodies — with the subsequent transformation of our living surroundings. It is in this way that we bring Heaven down to Earth and that matter is spiritualized.
Soon we will realize that the true aim of Education is, therefore, to encourage and facilitate the individual’s process of Self-discovery — the discovery of our inherent divine nature.
Religion is the field of human activity through which the revelation of the Divine Soul as Love and Wisdom is taking place.
Love is the divine energy that unites into one coordinated, harmonious Whole all beings and all things in the Universe. It is because of this deeply felt universal unity that our souls in the beginning of time agreed to participate in the divine of experiment of Community on Earth.
When we are in incarnation, the discovery and exercise of our Love nature acts as a magical touch upon all beings, events and things around us: it transforms and links them with the Oneness that embraces All in the Universe; that is, it erases their disharmonies and links them to the Heart of God.
Soon we will realize that the true nature of Religion is, therefore, to nourish in every human being (and in all the creatures of the Earth) the discovery of Love within and its expression in the without — it is to nourish the revelation of the Heart of God shinning through every human heart and through every community of beings.
Science is the field of human activity through which the revelation of the Divine Soul as Creative Intelligence is taking place.
The Divine Creative Intelligence is the organizing power that brings energies together in order to create forms that can reveal the many facets and qualities of the Source of All Creation. This Divine Creative Intelligence is seated as a mighty reservoir of creative power at the root of our thought-making faculty, ready to leap into action when our divine loving nature so commands.
Our discovery and exercise of the Divine Creative Intelligence reveal to us the order, the harmony and the beauty of the Divine Plan unfolding through us and as us, through the Earth and as the Earth, and through the Universe and as the Universe itself.
Soon we will realize that the true purpose of Science is, under the inspiration of the Oneness revealed by Love, the creation of forms of increasing perfection so that Facets and Qualities of the Source of All can be revealed in all their beauty and majesty.
The true nature and purpose of Education, Religion and Science must first be experienced within our individual being before we can bring them to the community and societal levels.
Groups of individuals, even if small, possessed of Self-experience and Self-knowledge, plus clarity on these matters, can become a great motivating force in their community environment to the point that the unavoidable result will be the manifestation of Community — direct experience and knowledge of the Inner Self is truly the way to create Community.
